Job Summary

Shaftesbury has a great opportunity for an experienced Graphic Designer to join our Marketing and Communications team. This position is responsible for a wide variety of creative projects, campaigns and activities that support all areas of business across the company, including development, production, marketing, and communications.  We are looking for someone who is capable of producing high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline type environment. Must be highly organized and have the ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute fresh ideas and provide creative support from early stages of conceptualization to execution and collaborate across all verticals including primetime, Kids and Family to build visual communication tools
  • Collaborate with creative, sales and marketing teams for pitch decks, posters, sales sheets, and other supporting materials
  • Develop logos, graphics and artwork for series bibles and other pitch materials
  • Create key art for both the Canadian and international market
  • Develop creative for display and email marketing activities and ads for trade publications
  • Develop creative ideas for new packaging concepts and create print-ready files for commercial print (press kits and stills photography)
  • Design printed collateral, including preparing other print material such as exhibition graphics, print collateral and presentation designs as needed
  • Create PPT templates for presentations that include video and audio components
  • Establish image libraries from several sources including image banks and internal imagery library
  • Develop asset templates and brand standards to enhance our brand content across multiple platforms
  • Ensure all visual content follows Shaftesbury’s voice and identity
  • Other design work, as required

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • A portfolio of recognized creative campaigns
  • Experience working in the entertainment industry
  • Motion graphics experience for videos and social content considered a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other members of the team
  • Willingness to participate in team projects and be a supportive part of a team
  • Highly detail-oriented and thorough
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High degree of professionalism as the position will be creating materials for senior executives, partners, and external stakeholders
