Conquest

This feature film stars Lothaire Bluteau (Black Robe) and Tara FitzGerald (Brassed Off) and was produced as an international co-production with the UK. Set in Saskatchewan, it's the story of a dying prairie town and the banker who gives away money to try to keep the town alive. Conquest won Best Canadian Feature at the Atlantic Film Festival (September 1998) and a 1999 Genie award for best supporting actress Monique Mercure.

Canadian broadcaster is CBC. Distributed worldwide by Shaftesbury Sales Company.
